John Alan Griswold

John Alan Griswold, 73, of Yukon, Oklahoma, left this Earth for his heavenly home on June 12, 2024. He was born on June 11, 1951, to Eugene and Betty Griswold. On September 1, 1978, John married Jo Anne Rogers at St. James Catholic Church in Oklahoma City. Together they had two children, Danny and Mandy.

John graduated from Del City High School. He dedicated many years working at Mercy Hospital and also worked retail at Dillard's. After retiring, he enjoyed attending Oklahoma State University football games, spending time with his grandchildren, attending their events, being a watchdog at their school, and indulging in many other hobbies, including playing games with his family and occasional weekly casino trips.

He is survived by his wife of 45 and a half years, Jo Anne; two children, daughter Mandy McDaniel and her husband Jason, and son Danny Griswold and his wife Kimberly; and three grandchildren, Aidric Griswold, Landon Griswold, and Hannah McDaniel. He also leaves behind his sisters Donna Robertson and husband Eric; Laura Gappa, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitations will be held Sunday, June 16, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. -  8:00 P.M. and Monday, June 17, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. -  6:00 P.M at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, Oklahoma. A Wake with Rosary will be held at the Yanda & Son Chapel, Monday, June 17, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at  St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Yukon, Oklahoma, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, Oklahoma.
