Johnnie Clay Arnold

Johnnie Clay Arnold, born May 5, 1960, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2024, in Amity, Arkansas, at the age of 64. Johnnie was a beloved father, brother, uncle, and "Papaw." He was the son of Ray and Ruby Arnold, who preceded him in death along with his sister, Judy Nelson and his daughter, Haley Elizabeth Arnold.

Johnnie was a 1978 graduate of Corrigan, Texas High School. He married Tonja Arlene Gleason on March 1, 1982, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They had six children together. Johnnie had many great careers; Trinity Valley Plumbing, Charlie Gray Trucking, ICO Tubular Services, Inc., Garrett Brothers Trucking Company, and 4 Star Trailers. He was a very talented and hardworking man, receiving multiple employee of the month awards and winning company wide golf tournaments.

Johnnie was an avid OU fan and ESPN watcher. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, golfing, playing at the river, watching western movies, and listening to multiple genres of music as well as dancing. But most of all, he enjoyed family gatherings and attending his children's school activities and sporting events when they were younger. Everyone could count on him being in the stands or on the sideline cheering each one of them on.

Johnnie is survived by his children; son Tommy Arnold and wife Jamee of Calumet, daughter Heather Hall and husband Zach of Kansas, son Kevin Arnold of Yukon, son Jonathan Arnold and wife Jordan of Oklahoma City, and son Zachary Arnold of Yukon; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings Tanya Logan and Tim Arnold; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. He leaves behind a legacy of love. His infectious smile and laughter will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2024 at Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel, 1500 W. Vandament Ave., Yukon, OK.
