Johnny "Jc" Calvin Ragsdale

Johnny "JC" Calvin Ragsdale, 25, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2024. Born on October 9, 1999, in Oklahoma City, JC was a lifelong resident of Yukon. He graduated from Mustang High School in 2020 and was an active participant at the Daily Living Center in Bethany, where he formed many lasting friendships. JC was the inspiration behind the Yukon Spirit League, which provides sports opportunities for children and adults with different abilities, reflecting his deep commitment to his community.

Known for his infectious joy and playful spirit, JC's presence could light up any room. He attended Together We Church, where he eagerly participated in the praise and worship services. Whether he was making others laugh with his fart noises, burps, or just his genuine, carefree nature, JC had a way of making everyone feel special. No matter what challenges he faced, he always had a smile on his face and a lighthearted approach to life.

JC had a passion for sports, enjoying soccer, baseball, shooting hoops and tossing the football around with his dad.  He also enjoyed participating in push chair 5ks, going to the zoo and Oklahoma State Football games. His true love was music. Whether playing his bass guitar or rocking out on the drums to his favorite bands like Cross Canadian Ragweed and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, music was an integral part of his life. He also had a fondness for trucks—he loved all kinds of trucks, especially those with trailer hitches. JC's dog Buddy was his best friend, and they had a special bond that was indescribable. JC was known for taking his daily walks in any weather, a testament to his determination and love for life.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Johnny C. Ragsdale; uncle, John John Ragsdale; aunt Mandi Ragsdale, and great-grandmothers Jimmie Nelson and Joan Douglas. He is survived by his mother, Ashley Ragsdale; his father, Randy Ragsdale, and his wife, Jamie Ragsdale; his siblings, Julia Ragsdale, Ashley, Lauren, and Tyler Sepulveda; his paternal grandmother, Ruth Ann Ragsdale; his maternal grandmother, Melinda Smith; his maternal grandfather, Steve Briggs; his uncles Robby Ragsdale and wife Lindsay, and Matt Griffin and wife Kaysie; as well as numerous cousins and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Viewing and visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon, OK. JC loved the color blue.  Please wear blue in his honor at his Celebration of Life Monday, December 2 at 10:00 a.m., at Together We Church, 620 N. Cemetery Rd., Yukon, OK 73099, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
