Joyce F. Collier

Joyce F. Collier passed away January 27th, 2025, with family by her side. She was born September 19th, 1930, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.  She grew up in Dormont, PA, later moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she finished high school. Joyce attended Oklahoma State University, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, she earned a degree in Home Economic and Education.  She taught Kindergarten in Tulsa, until she met her husband, Herbert W. Collier.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Renzy Evert and Rodivine (Rud) Flikkema, and her loving husband Herb.  She is survived by her sister, Pat, Yukon, OK;  three children: John, of Manzanita, OR; Chet (Kim), of Oklahoma City; and Annie, of Monkey Island, OK; seven grandchildren: Lauren (Sean), of Oklahoma City;  Ryle (Ashley) of Washington, DC; Sheridan (Max), of Spokane, WA; Lianne (Agapito) of Oklahoma City; Karee Maxson, of Monkey Island, OK; Clark (Briton), of Dallas, TX; and Elyse (Peter) of Indianapolis, IN.; 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended relatives. Private services will be held.
