Juanita Florence Adler

Juanita Florence Adler, 82, passed away peacefully at home on December 8, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 25, 1941, to parents Wilson Roach and Juanita (Scott) Shelton. Juanita graduated from Chelsea High School in 1960. A few years later, she met the love of her life, Dennis W. Adler. The two were married on December 15, 1973. Their daughter Cathy was brought into marriage. "Cathy was brought into marriage and then they had Kevin". Seven year old Cathy told her mom, pick Dennis. They made a home in Yukon, Oklahoma in 1976. Dennis and Juanita enjoyed 50 wonderful years of marriage together. Juanita pursued a career as a certified medical transcriptionist for Integris Baptist Medical Center until her retirement in 1990. After retirement, she made sure to fill her time with all the things she enjoyed doing. Juanita loved to cook meals for herself and her family to enjoy, she liked watching football (especially the Sooners), and was a dedicated member of the Putnam City United Methodist Church.

Juanita is preceded in death by her father Wilson Roach, mother Juanita (Scott) Shelton, and brother George Roach. She is survived by her husband Dennis W. Adler, son Kevin Adler of Yukon, Oklahoma, daughter Cathy Donelson of Adair, Oklahoma, four grandchildren: Seth, Cheyenne, Savannah, and Chase (the redhead), and five great-grandchildren: Teagyn, Maya, Gavin, Mason, and Jack. The family would like to give special thanks to the most wonderful hospice team from Enhabit Hospice and to Louise Sproles for helping during recent difficult times.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
