Judith Irene Mccollum

Judith Irene Chappell McCollum, 87, of Oklahoma City, passed away on July 28, 2025, at St. Ann's Nursing Home.  Judy was born on September 20, 1937, in Winfield, Kansas.  She lived a life of deep love, quiet strength and artistic grace.

She joins her parents Frank and Theresa Chappell, her beloved husband of 22 years and love of her life Merle, sons William and Frank, grandson Bryan, and son-in-law Tary Lee Schumacher in Heaven.

Judy leaves behind a legacy of love in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Judith enjoyed her family including Mary Lee, Heidi, Drew, Kaylee, Hannah, Marsha, Brandon, Candace, Brett, Kyle, Katie, Marisa, Michael, and Sophia. Judy was also blessed with thirteen cherished great grandchildren Bryan, Dylan, Kaden, Addison, Alex, Rowan, Millie, Everett, Hadley, Kenzie, Logan, Jared, Taryn, and Phoenix.

Judith was active in high school as the valedictorian of her class and as a cheerleader. She went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Judith enjoyed her 37-year career as a Legal Secretary for the Phillips Petroleum Company both in Bartlesville and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Judith was a gifted artist resulting in beautiful paintings, sketching and other various media.  Her bright smile, kind heart and creative spirit will be missed by all of those who knew her.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful family and friends who prayed for Judith.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the St. Ann's Nursing Home at 9400 St. Ann Drive Oklahoma City, OK 73162. A graveside service will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park at 6001 Northwest Grand Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73118-1298.

Judith's remains will be cremated by Yanda and Son Funeral Home in Yukon, Oklahoma.
