Julia Ann Hall

Julia Hall passed April 28, 2024 at Integris Hospice Home. She was a devoted follower of the Catholic faith and is now at home with her lord and savior. Julia, known to most as Judy, was born May 20, 1924 in Choctaw, Oklahoma and was raised in the Choctaw-Harrah area. Julia was the daughter of Polish immigrants, Ike and Mary Wajda. In her early years she worked on their family farm and farms of others in the Polish community. During World War II, Julia went to work at Douglas Aircraft (now known as Tinker Air Force base) as a Rosie the Riveter, assembling planes for the war. Later in life Julia was a homemaker and seamstress in the Oklahoma City area. Julia enjoyed her hobbies like ceramics, sewing, gardening, cats, birds and studying her polish heritage. She enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a stranger to no one.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband Russell; her parents Ike and Mary; and siblings Mack, Pete, John, Tom, Ike Jr, Verna and Frances. She is survived by her only son Tom and his wife Joanne; Granddaughter Hillary and husband
Michael and great granddaughters AllyJo and Penny; granddaughter April and Husband Chris; and grandson Levi. Her family will miss her cheerful stories and persistence to teach everyone the Polish language.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at Yanda & Son Funeral Home in Yukon, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday May 2, 2024 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon, Oklahoma with an entombment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
