Era June Bolding-McCaskill

Era “June” Bolding McCaskill was born in Bentley, Oklahoma January 21, 1936, and departed this world January 5, 2026. June was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gerald Bolding, grandson Dillon Bolding, her sister and brother-in-law Betty Ethel and Don Feddersen, and niece Sandra Feddersen Wynn. She is survived by her son Kendall Lee Bolding and wife Kim; her daughter Gerri Lyn Bolding and Zach Barrett; her nephew Donald Dean Feddersen (Alf), and by her second husband, Clark McCaskill, who remained a devoted companion throughout her later years and 24 years of marriage. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins that she cherished spending time with.

June grew up in Agra, Oklahoma where her parents Andrew and Nell Drake ran a local merchandise store and gas station that served as a gathering place for the community. During her years at Agra High School, she excelled both academically and athletically—she played basketball and graduated as valedictorian.

A gifted student and musician, June attended Oklahoma State University on a music and academic scholarship at the remarkable age of sixteen. While at OSU, she and her sister joined the rodeo club – to meet a cowboy – where she darn sure did meeting Gerald, the man who would become her first husband and her partner in building both a family and a successful business. Together, June and Gerald ranched and founded Mid‑Continent Mud, built on dedication and determination for serving the oil and gas industry.

June was a proud and enthusiastic supporter of Oklahoma State University throughout her life. She held season tickets for both football and basketball for decades, cheering on the Cowboys with unwavering loyalty attending many bowl games and Big 12 tournaments with family and friends.

She also had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for seeing the world. With Clark, she traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. June and Clark enjoyed many river and ocean cruise’s, bus trips as members of Crossings Church, and trips to foreign lands including Italy, France, Austria, Russia, Greece, Germany, England, Scotland, Norway, and the Bahamas to name only a few. She enjoyed traveling the United States including Alaska and Hawaii, and spending time at the lake with family and friends. These journeys became some of her most treasured experiences, reflecting her curiosity, her courage, and her joy in discovering new places.

Of course, we all know that June was quite the fashionista and had a flair for decorating. She was also known as a fantastic cook - everyone loved her delicious food and amazing desserts that she served at many gatherings and parties. June’s life was rich with love, exploration, and resilience. She leaves behind a family and community who will forever cherish her memory and the remarkable legacy she created.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, Oklahoma.
