June Venable Dixon

June Venable Dixon, born December 1, 1950, passed away at the age of 75, surrounded by the love of her family and the peace of her faith. June was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of God. She was the daughter of Gene and Joan Venable, and a beloved sister to Linda and David. June was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she found great joy in worship, service, and fellowship throughout her life.

June graduated from Hominy High School in 1969. Shortly after, she married her high school sweetheart, Jimmy Dixon, on September 19, 1970, beginning a lifelong journey built on love, faith, and devotion to family.

June was the proud and loving mother of four sons, who were the center of her world. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, offering unwavering support, wisdom, and unconditional love through every season of life. Her greatest joy came from being “Nana” to her eight cherished grandchildren and one precious great-grandchild of whom held a special place in her heart. June was known for her warm and welcoming home, where there always seemed to be a bowl of M&Ms sitting on the kitchen counter and something sweet to snack on. She had a creative and crafty spirit, always finding joy in making personal items for each of her family members. June supported her boys and grandchildren in every sport and event, rarely ever missing a performance.

June is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Joan Venable. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jim; her children, Chad Dixon and wife Courtney, Doug Dixon and wife Shelli, Darren Dixon and wife Stephanie, and Andy Dixon and wife Becca; her grandchildren, Kelsie and Andrew Wilcox, Kamryn and Carson Lee, Sydney, London, Dylan, Brooklyn, Palmer, and Lilly Dixon; and one great-grandchild Loxley Wilcox.

Viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday, May 25, 2026 at the funeral home. Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 26, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12020 N. Mustang Rd., Yukon, OK, with graveside services following at 3:00 p.m., at A. J. Powell Cemetery, Hominy, OK.
