Karen Frances Becker

Karen Frances Becker, age 77, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on December 8, 2025. She was born on June 16, 1948, in Ellenville, New York, to Roger and Catherine Becker.

A true jack of all trades, Karen worked and co-owned Meyer Tax Service in Oklahoma City for several years. She also worked as a ranch hand, doing everything from throwing hay bales and feeding animals to tiling floors—always willing to pitch in wherever she was needed. Along the way, she made and kept many lasting friendships. Karen retired in 2023 at the age of 75.

In retirement, she enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including OSU Cowboys football, coloring, reading, and most of all caring for those she loved and held close to her heart. She especially cherished time spent with her beloved dogs, Scout and Sissy.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Catherine Becker; her brothers, Kenneth Becker and Thomas Becker; and her grandson, Dustin Diehl.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Godwin of the home; grandsons Kristopher Godwin and his wife Kayla of Mooreland, Oklahoma, and Blake Godwin of Oklahoma City; great-granddaughters Kynlee Godwin and Millie Godwin of Mooreland, Oklahoma; Kenneth Godwin Jr. of Minco, Oklahoma; her son, Dale Niemann of New York; her daughter, Denise Ryder of New York; granddaughters Kristin Niemann, Emily Niemann, and Shelby Diehl; and grandson Justin Diehl, all of New York. She also leaves behind her Godwin family of Yukon and Minco, Oklahoma, as well as a host of other family members and friends.

Memorial Services for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon, Oklahoma.
