Kathryn Faye Kennedy

Kathryn F. "Kathy" Kennedy, 78, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on May 16, 1945, in Hutchinson, Kansas to the late Freddie and Elsie (Schott) Gingerich.

She attended Nickerson High School in Kansas. After graduation, Kathy married Darell Kennedy in 1964 and moved to Yukon in 1974. While raising three children, she had a career as a retail clerk and created displays for Walmart and Walgreens. She had a passion for family gatherings, spending hours playing various card games, dominoes, and board games with her friends and family.  Always proud of her children and grandchildren, she was often eager to share updates on them.

She is preceded in death by her husband Darell, granddaughter Marissa Murrow, and brother Lyle Gingerich. Kathy is survived by her brother Doug Kennedy and wife Kathy, daughters Denise Anderson and husband Scott and Kristy Murrow and husband Jeff, son Scott Kennedy, and six grandchildren, Corbin Murrow, Reese Anderson, Kaitlyn Kennedy, Chloe Anderson, Zachary Kennedy, and Rebecca Kennedy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
