Ken "Buck" Lee Selvidge

Ken Lee "Buck" Selvidge, aged 67, of McLoud, Oklahoma, passed away on August 28, 2024. Born on August 20, 1957, in Decoto, California, Buck lived a life marked by a profound dedication to his loved ones and a robust passion for the outdoors.

A lifelong frame carpenter, Buck's hands skillfully crafted more than just structures; they built a legacy of hard work and integrity. His career was paralleled by his short service in the US Army, beginning in 1975.

Buck's love for nature was evident in his favorite pastimes: fishing, camping, and enjoying a cold beer. These simple pleasures were a source of great joy and relaxation for him. He was a man who cherished the time spent outdoors, whether it was at the riverbank waiting for the next catch or sitting around a campfire with friends and family.

He went to Yukon High School, where he formed early friendships and honed his skills that would later define his career and hobbies. Buck's personality was a beacon of selflessness and thoughtfulness, traits that endeared him to many.

Buck is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Selvidge; sons, Colton Selvidge, Ja Brown, and Joe Temple; siblings, Duane Selvidge, Bill Jester Jr., Marlene Bradbury, Duke Jester, and Cindy Jester; and his cherished seven grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Bill Jester; sister, Marsha Jester; and niece, Amanda Day.

Services to honor Buck's life will be held at Yanda and Son Funeral Home, located at 1500 W. Vandament Ave, Yukon, Oklahoma, on September 3, 2024, at 11:00 am, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery. The viewing will be held September 2, 2024 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Yanda and Son Funeral Home is assisting the family during this time, ensuring that Buck's memory is honored in a manner befitting his giving nature and loving spirit.
