Kenneth "Ken" Leon Meyer

Kenneth "Ken" Leon Meyer was born July 3, 1947 in El Reno, Ok. He passed away March 25, 2024 at home in Yukon, Ok., at the age of 76 surrounded by his loved ones.

Ken had a passion for country music where he loved to pick his guitar and was an avid bowhunter. You could always find him in a tree stand or playing music. He worked his entire adult life for Western Electric/ATT/Lucent where he retired as a Department Chief in 2001 with 36 years of service. Ken was very active with the Oklahoma Wildlife Department and Oklahoma Bowhunters Council where he served as liaison and lobbyist. Ken was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. The legacy we are most proud of is his love for God. Ken was a devout Catholic.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father Leon and Angeline Meyer, two brothers, Bob and Elmer Meyer, sisters Virginia Meyer, Leona Chapman, daughter-in-law Lyndsay Meyer and nephews Keith and Tom Meyer.

He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth "Betty" Meyer of Yukon, Ok.; four sons:  Dane and wife Keri Meyer of Yukon, Ok., Mike and Donna Meyer of Yukon, Ok., David and wife Sylvia of Edmond, Ok., and Hank Meyer of Oklahoma City, Ok.; grandchildren:  Tyler and wife Kimberly of Yukon, Ok., Bradyn and wife Haley of Yukon, Ok., Gabrielle Meyer and Wyatt Jordan of Yukon, Ok., Kaylee Meyer of Mustang, Ok., and Isabella, Xander, Beatrix, Aura and Billie Meyer of Edmond, Ok., and  great grandchildren:  Kennedi, Blakely, Karsyn, Beckham and Baker Meyer and Blakely and Gray Jordan all of Yukon, Ok.

Viewing will be held 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2024 with the family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Wake services will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, Ok. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Yukon, with interment following at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Okarche, Ok.
