Ladonna Jean Rains

LaDonna Jean Rains, 84 of Yukon, Oklahoma was the daughter of J.D. "Donnie" and Ivalee Garrett.  She was born November 26, 1940, in Cogar, Oklahoma and died Monday, April 28, 2025, at home.

LaDonna is preceded in death by her parents, J.D. "Donnie" and Ivalee Garrett, and one son, Terry "Jag" Burch.

LaDonna was a 1958 graduate of Pauls Valley High School.  After graduation, she worked as a tester at Western Electric until she retired.  LaDonna married Doyle Gene Rains in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on Valentine's Day in 1991.  She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cross stitching, and word puzzles.  LaDonna and Doyle enjoyed traveling, loved their dog Molly and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

She is survived by her husband, Doyle of thirty-four years; three daughters, Lori Wade of Cole, OK, Lesli Williams of Norman, OK and Traci Cornish and husband Jay Cornish of Yukon, OK; five grandchildren, Frank Wade and Tyler Wade of Cole, OK, Garrett Cornish of Yukon, OK, Scout Williams of Norman, OK and Dylan Burch of Norman, OK; two great grandchildren, Violet Burch and Lorelai Wade; one sister, Betty Kirk and husband Dick of Monterey County, CA and one brother, Larry Garrett and wife Pat Garrett of Midwest City, OK.

A special thank you to the staff at Good Shepherd Hospice for taking such good care of her.  She will be dearly missed.

There will be a visitation from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2025, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with graveside services following at Frisco Cemetery in Yukon, OK.
