Leobardo Banda Maldonado

Leobardo Banda Maldonado, nacido el 13 de Octubre de 1951 en Santa Catarina, San Luis Potosí, México, emprendió su último viaje el 4 de Junio de 2025 en Oklahoma City, Oklahoma a la edad de 73 años. Desde su adolescencia, Leobardo siempre ha dedicado su tiempo a trabajar para ayudar a su familia. Con el paso de los años, la vida de Leobardo lo llevó a H Matamoros Tamaulipas desde Florida y Georgia hasta Minnesota, antes de encontrar su hogar en Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Leobardo deja un legado que es apreciado por sus cuatro hermanos sobrevivientes: Marta, Virginia, Paola y Querino. Además, deja a nueve hijos: Leobardo Jr., Lupita, Crystal, Antonia, Brenda, Marta, Dennis, Liobardo y Tracy. Fue un querido abuelo de doce nietos y siete nietas. Ahora descansa en paz, reunido con sus padres Cayetanna y Dionicio Maldonado, su hermano Abel, su hermana Ana y su esposa Guadalupe Maldonado.

Leobardo siempre se enfocó y luchó para sacar adelante su familia. Le pasaba trabajando pero en su tiempos libres le gustaba pasar el tiempo con la familia. Le gustaba cazar y comer lo que atrapaba. Leobardo también encontraba placer en la pesca en mares y lagos junto con sus hijos. Nos llevaba a pasar en la cuidad, Anadarko y los montanas de Wichita donde se encuentran los búfalos. Disfrutaba de las reuniones familiares al aire libre y le gustaba una carne asada. En estos ocasiones el solo tenía una solicitud especial: escuchar una canción de su artista favorito, Beto Quintanilla. Durante estos momentos en cuando escucho la música siempre decía con cariño, "Right on cachetón" Lol siempre nos hacía reír. Siempre buscaba hacer reír a la familia, y los niños disfrutaban su compañía. La familia era lo más importante para él. De vez en cuando, Leobardo disfrutaba viajar a H Matamoros, México para visitar a familiares y amigos. En estas ocasiones, solía llevar a algunos de nosotros para disfrutar juntos de la compañía familiar y la naturaleza. Con un corazón generoso, siempre dispuesto a ayudar a quienes lo necesitaban.

En honor a Leobardo Banda Maldonado, recordamos a un hombre que iluminó nuestras vidas, su amor y su risa vivirán en nuestros corazones por siempre. Ahora que tú te has ido, nuestro único consuelo es saber que estás con Dios 🙏

El velatorio se llevará a cabo el miércoles 11 de Junio de 2025 a la 12:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. en la funeraria. La Rosario sería en la noche a la 6:00 p.m. Con servicios funerarios el jueves 12 de Junio a la 1:30 p.m. en la capilla de la funeraria Yanda & Son, Yukón. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio Spring Creek Memorial en Oklahoma City, OK.

Leobardo Banda Maldonado, born on October 13, 1951 in Santa Catarina, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, set out on his last journey on June 4, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 73. Since his adolescence, Leobardo has always dedicated his time to working to help his family. Over the years, Leobardo's life took him to H Matamoros Tamaulipas from Florida and Georgia to Minnesota, before finding his home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Leobardo leaves a legacy that is appreciated by his four surviving siblings: Marta, Virginia, Paola and Querino. In addition, he leaves nine children: Leobardo Jr., Lupita, Crystal, Antonia, Brenda, Marta, Dennis, Liobardo and Tracy. He was a beloved grandfather of twelve grandsons and seven granddaughters. Now he rests in peace, reunited with his parents Cayetanna and Dionicio Maldonado, his brother Abel, his sister Ana and his wife Guadalupe Maldonado.

Leobardo always focused and fought to get his family ahead. He spent his time working but in his free time he liked to spend time with the family. He liked to hunt and eat what he caught. Leobardo also found pleasure in fishing in seas and lakes together with his children. He would take us to pass through the city, Anadarko and the Wichita Mountains where the buffalo are located. He enjoyed outdoor family gatherings and liked a barbecue. On these occasions he only had one special request: to listen to a song by his favorite artist, Beto Quintanilla. During these moments when I listen to the music I always say with affection, "Right on cheek" Lol always made us laugh. He always sought to make the family laugh, and the children enjoyed his company. Family was the most important thing to him. From time to time, Leobardo enjoyed traveling to H Matamoros, Mexico to visit family and friends. On these occasions, he used to take some of us to enjoy family company and nature together. With a generous heart, always ready to help those in need.

In honor of Leobardo Banda Maldonado, we remember a man who lit up our lives, his love and his laughter will live in our hearts forever. Now that you're gone, our only comfort is knowing that you're with God 🙏

The viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary service at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the funeral home, with funeral services at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 12 at the chapel at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon. Burial will continue at Spring Creek Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.
