Linda Carol Dawson

Linda Carol Dawson passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, at the age of 83.

Born on June 6, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Linda was the seventh of eight children born to Fred S. and Crystal G. Packham. She remained a resident of Oklahoma City and graduated from Capitol Hill High School.

Linda was the proud mother of three daughters and dedicated many years of service to Lucent Technologies before her retirement. In August 1972, she married the love of her life, Gale Collins Dawson. They were just one month shy of celebrating 53 wonderful years of marriage.

Linda found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family gatherings often included lively games of Wahoo, where she was known for always winning. She had a creative spirit and loved painting china, which she often gifted to friends and loved ones. A good shopping trip was also one of her favorite pastimes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Bob, Mickey, Jimmie, and Paul; and her sister, Barbara Smith.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband, Gale; daughters Donna Sharpe and husband Vance, Joyce Hice and husband Larry, Patty Eisenhour, and Kim Dawson; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her brothers Ronny and Dennis; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Linda will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and deep love for her family.

Viewing will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2025 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 1, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
