Linda Eichler Eichler

Linda passed away suddenly in her Yukon, OK, residence at the young age of 79.

Linda was born in Buffalo, New York, on May 25, 1944, almost two weeks before D-Day, to Warren and Maxine Eichler. Her father was a supply sergeant at the time, while her mother was a nurse's aide before motherhood. Their family would see another addition, her brother Philip Eichler, a few years later. She and her brother had their mischievous moments which ended up with one of them in trouble and kept her parents busy.

Her childhood escapades did not completely interfere with her education (there were some hospital stays during her childhood). She graduated from Jackson High School in 1962, attended Jackson Junior College, and graduated with an associate's degree in 1965.

During her college years, she met and married her first husband, Henry. Being a military spouse had its challenges, but Linda did not give up on love and remarried two more times in her search for her soulmate. She may not have found the "One" while on Earth, but now that she is in heaven, she may have reunited with him.

Throughout her life, she has had challenges that have made her resilient and resourceful. Her passion was her dogs. There were, in no particular order, pomeranians, miniature dachshunds, rhodesian ridgebacks, a labrador, a schnauzer, and her beloved miniature pinschers. Her miniature pinschers were her pride and joy when it came to dog breeds. Her interest in miniature pinchers allowed her to make dear friends throughout the United States. For those of you who knew her: you brought her comfort, joy, and friendship. Please be aware of the impact you had on her life. Thank you.

Linda is survived by Sheila (daughter) and Brian DeJournett (son-in-law); Jeffrey (son) and Shannon Beckord (daughter-in-law); three grandchildren: Christopher DeJournett, Megan and Haley Beckord; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 1500 W. Vandament Ave., Yukon, OK 73099. Final Interment will be held at Roseland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, Michigan.
