Lois Ann Johnson

Lois Ann Johnson was born on February 25, 1933 to Harry and Mabel Ness in Thief River Falls, MN, and passed away on September 25, 2023 in Oklahoma City, OK. Lois became a Licensed Practical Nurse and met her husband Robert Andrew Johnson, when he was hospitalized for a ruptured appendix. They married in 1954 and were married for 49 years before Robert died in 2004.

Lois was a nurse for 43 years, and retired from Deaconess Hospital in OKC, where she was an exceptional operating room nurse. Though she officially retired from nursing in 1995, she continued caring for her husband Robert and son-in-law Mike for many years.

She loved her family fiercely and loved to attend her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, dance recital and musical performances. She was a huge football fan and faithfully followed many Sooner players into their professional careers. Her dogs were an especially important part of her life and many rescue dogs lived their best lives in her home. Lois loved to garden, sew and crochet.

Lois was an active member of Resurrection Lutheran in Yukon for many years, and was currently a member of Lake View Park Church of the Nazarene. She was so grateful for the love and support of her church family at LVP.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, her husband Robert Johnson, and son-in-law Mike Stephens. She is survived by her daughters Rebecca Shaw (Chris), Ellen Stephens, and son Robert Johnson (Rexanne), as well as her grandchildren, Christina Earley (Joe), Michelle Neilsen (Tim), and Jim Shaw (Danna), Kim Thetford (Cameron) and Kevin Johnson. She had 12 greatgrandchildren, Eleanor, Evelyn and Edison Earley, Henri and Arlo Neilsen, Micah and Jadah Shaw, Kayson, Rylan and Asher Thetford, Kolten and Axel Johnson. She also lovingly claimed extended family grand and great-grandchildren in her role as MorMor.

Her godly faith and strong Scandinavian heritage has left a legacy of service, love and caring.

Her Celebration of Life service will be held at graveside on Saturday, September 30th at 10:00 am at Yukon Cemetery, 660 Garth Brooks Blvd, Yukon, OK.
