Lois Kay Lawson

Lois Kay Lawson, 84, passed away August 30, 2026 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on March 11, 1942, in Belleville, Illinois, to John Seigel Joyner and Lucille Carolyn Guebert.

Lois worked as a flight attendant for Western Airlines and Delta Air Lines, where she enjoyed a career that allowed her to meet many people and experience new places. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Dan Lawson. They were married in July 1991 and settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Lois worked as a Convention Director.

Lois had a deep love for aviation and was actively involved with the Confederate Air Force and the Aerospace America Airshow. Through her dedication and hard work, she rose to become a Director of the airshow.

For more than 20 years, Lois made her home at Spanish Cove in Yukon, Oklahoma. She was actively involved in many activities there and formed many wonderful friendships. She was blessed with many friends and caring caregivers who brought companionship, kindness, and support to her life.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, John Seigel Joyner and Lucille Carolyn Guebert; her beloved husband, Dan Lawson; and two stepsons.

She is survived by her step-grandson, Perry Lawson; her stepdaughter, Christine Kardong; and many cherished friends and caregivers who will miss her dearly.

Lois's memorial service will be a private family gathering.
