Lori Susanne Travis

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lori Travis, a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, on January 29th, 2025. Lori passed away after a courageous and relentless 18-month battle with triple-negative breast cancer. Lori's strength and determination in the face of her illness were an inspiration to all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, grandmothers, and paternal grandfather. She is survived by a deeply loving family, including her husband Shane, four children—Trinity (24), Logan (22), Kenton (15), and Libby (14)—as well as a son-in-law, Aaron, and daughter-in-law, Johana; her mother, Susie Rains; father, Stan Rains; maternal grandfather, Howard Lingerfelt; sister, Staci Scarberry; brother-in-law, Kyle Scarberry; brother, Sean Rains; sister-in-law, Rhiannon Rains; nieces, Davenee Bray (along with her husband, Braidon Bray) and Kyleeci Scarberry; and nephews, Kaden Scarberry, Ruger Rains, and Sauyer Rains. Lori's love for her family was boundless, and she found joy in the milestones of their lives, including being present at both of her children's weddings this past year. She will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Shane and Lori met at work in 1999 and were wed in June of 2000. They were together for nearly 25 years. Lori's husband, Shane, was by her side every step of the way, demonstrating unwavering dedication as he drove her countless hours to treatments in Houston at MD Anderson, seeking the best care possible. His love and commitment were evident in every action he took, and he did everything in his power to support Lori's fight.

Lori used her diagnosis as a testimony of God's love and faithfulness, never missing an opportunity to share her faith with those around her. Through everything, all she wanted was to worship and frequently sing on the Praise and Worship team at Discovery Church. Even when she was feeling the effects of her battle, she got up and sang her heart out for the Lord.

A viewing will be held from 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon, Oklahoma. The funeral service for Lori will be held at Discovery Church, 900 E Main St, Yukon, OK 73099, on Saturday, February 8th, at 1:00 PM followed by interment at Yukon Cemetery
