Lowell Eugene Dillon

Lowell Eugene Dillon passed away peacefully at his home in Yukon, OK on April 1, 2025. Born February 21, 1949, to Robert and Lois Dillon in Parker City, IN, he was the youngest of three children.

He began his 39-year career in the lumber business by unloading boxcars in Parker City, while still in high school. In 1983, he and his family moved to Yukon, Oklahoma to work for Boise Cascade. He finished his career in 2006 as an area manager for Hope Lumber.

Lowell dedicated his life to serving Jehovah and was baptized in 1976.  For many years, he had the privilege of serving as an elder in the Yukon Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He treasured his assignment to serve the congregation and participate in volunteer work.  His hope for the future and prospect of eternal life were real to him, and he displayed that in his attitude, beliefs and conversations until he died.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronnie Dillon and his wife Susan, and son-in-law Jeffrey Silver.

He is survived by his high-school sweetheart and wife of 57 years, Tonya, daughter Fietta Silver, son and daughter-in-law Travis and Chalet Dillon, granddaughter and her husband Sydney and Matthew Carter, sister and brother-in-law Rose and David Hart, plus numerous nieces and nephews, as well as an abundance of "adopted" children, grandchildren and treasured friends.

A generous, kind, humble and patient man, known for his love of family and affection for others, his wit and humor will be missed by all. His legacy lives on in our memories and in the hearts of all he touched. Safely in Jehovah's memory, we anxiously await his renewed, eternal life in the New World.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 3:30 PM, Mustang Town Center, 1201 N. Mustang Rd, Mustang, OK. Use the south door entry.
