Lucille Mary Elizabeth Kocher

Lucille (Lu) Mary Elizabeth Kocher (nee Mackay), age 95 was born June 25, 1928 in Tumut, New South Wales, Australia. She entered into eternal rest on July 7, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Lucille was the only daughter of Donald and Jenny (nee Pomfret) McKay. Although she was born in the small town of Tumut in New South Wales, Australia, she enjoyed the world wide experiences of living in over 15 countries before permanently relocating from Peru, South America, to the United States. With her husband, Raymond Francis Kocher, Jr., Lucille settled in Corpus Christi, Texas and shortly thereafter moved across the bay to Portland, Texas.

She was a longtime member of our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Portland, Texas and a founding member of the North Shore Country Club where she was an avid tennis and bridge player. She worked as the voter registrar at the San Patricio County Courthouse in Sinton, TX till she retired. In 2022, Lucille moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to live with her daughter, Janna Connolly. She was a member of St John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon, OK.

Lucille was preceded in death by Donald McKay and Jenni McKay (parents), Peter McKay (brother), Donald Macdonald (son), and Raymond Francis Kocher, Jr. (husband).

She is survived by her children:  Janna Macdonald Connolly (OK, USA), Peter Bradbury, (AUS) Jean & Jim Moore [Spouse],  (AUS), Bruce and Luz Macdonald (Spouse) (AUS), Heather MacDonald (AUS); grandchildren: Gillian & Darryl Goodman [Spouse], (OK, USA), Jon & Destiny Connolly [Spouse], (FL, USA), Susan and Paul Kneipp [Spouse], (AUS), Michael and Larissa Bradbury [Spouse],  (AUS), Karen and Dan Holmes [Spouse],  (AUS), and Crystal and Michael Lean [Spouse],  (AUS), and great-grandchildren:  Lauren Goodman (USA), Ethan Goodman USA), Lacey Connolly, (OK, USA), Chloe Connolly (FL, USA),  Corrina Howell (AUS), Stephen McAnally (AUS), Kalon McAnally (AUS), Davis Harris (AUS), Joshua Bradbury (AUS), Cassie Bradbury (AUS), Declan Lean(AUS), Dimitri Lean (AUS), and Ricardo Lean (AUS).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2023 at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 600 Garth Brooks Blvd., Yukon, OK, USA 73099. Interment will be held in Pascagoula, Mississippi USA at a later date.
