Lynda Norene Fender

Lynda Fender was born on September 17, 1947 in Waynoka, OK. She finished her journey through life on May 21, 2024. She earned her LPN license in 1972 at Burns Flat, OK, then she continued her education to receive her RN license in Wichita, KS. She worked at Share Medical Center in Alva, OK before moving to Yukon in 1979. Lynda was called to be a nurse where she served faithfully at Mercy Hospital for 31 years. Lynda married Bill Fender in July of 1982. She was a member of Yukon Church and was heavily involved in bible study, quilting, and volunteering. Lynda loved to travel, find adventures, and sew. Her greatest love and enjoyment was always her family.

Lynda joined in heaven her loving husband Bill Fender, Parents Paul and Cora Olson, Sisters Hattie Mae, Betty Dahoney, Elenor Davidson, Imogene Peterson, Dorthy Puckett, and Brother Bob Fender, Daughter Pam Mach and husband Charlie, Grandson Michael Mach, and Great Granddaughter Hadley Nichole.

Lynda is survived by her sisters Nadine Hayes of Waynoka, OK, Judy Devine of Freedom, OK and brother Max Olson of Enid, OK; Daughter Sandra Rowe and husband Rodney of Yukon; Son Mark Nutter and wife Sarah of Dalhart, TX; Son Bryan Nutter and wife Tabitha of Alva, OK; Daughters Mary Ward and husband Ed of Yukon, and Vickie Lawson of Bonifay, FL; Son Sam Fender and wife Cheri of Mustang, OK. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy which include: Lane Rowe and wife Kim of Yukon, Casie Sumner of Broken Arrow, Meagan Perez and husband Gus of Yukon, Brenden Nutter of Houston, TX, Erin Nutter of Lubbock, TX, Braden Fagan, Mason Nutter, Weston Nutter, Ainsley Nutter, Lynden Nutter of Alva, OK, Matt Mach and wife Kristen of Yukon, Amanda Yon and husband Brandon of Florida, Rebekah Goucher and husband Chad of Alaska, Jessica Spencer of Florida, Sheila Gallo and husband James of Illinois, Daniel Lawson, Samuel Lawson, and Andrew Lawson of Florida and Hannah and Sam Helms of Florida, Phillip Ward and wife Lanna of Yukon, Stephen Ward of Yukon, David Ward and wife Taylor of Del City. Jessie Landry and husband Patrick of Mustang, Tessa Fender of Moore, Andrea Fruit of Yukon, Lisa Scott and husband Andrew of the Maldives, and Steven Fruit and wife Morgan of Yukon. She also had 24 great-grandchildren, and many many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held at Yanda and Son Funeral Home on Monday, May 27, 2024, between the hours of 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at Yukon Church on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Yukon Cemetery.
