Margaret Camacho

Margaret Camacho was born February 7, 1932 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and passed away on April 6, 2026, in Yukon, Oklahoma. She moved to Yukon in the summer of 2025 to live with her grandson and his wife.

Margaret was a devoted mother of four and played a significant role in raising her five siblings, as well as many of her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, her love of cooking, her willingness to help others, and her gift for making people laugh with her many stories.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Ortega and Alinore Archuletta; her brothers, Carlos, Jacob, Paul, and Bernie Ortega; her son, Jerome Masiat; and her daughter, Joanna Hudson.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Georgia Hudson and Lucy Lucero; her sister, Angie Yardis; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Additional details will be provided by the family.
