Margaret Lou (Kirk) Jones

Margaret (Kirk) Jones passed away Monday April 22, 2024 in Saint John's Hospital in Owasso, OK at the age of 70, after fighting hard over the past several years to overcome COPD and many other health issues.

Margaret was born October 8, 1953 in Sulphur, OK. She attended Yukon High School. She then married the love of her life when she was 17, and continued to live in Yukon where they raised their two children and made their home. Upon his passing, Margaret moved to Owasso to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

Margaret loved to joke around and make people life. She never met a stranger that she could not carry on a conversation with. Until her health started to decline, she enjoyed fishing and camping. Later, she enjoyed listing to music, cutting up with the grandkids, and going out to eat Mexican food. She was a simple woman, and did not need a lot to fulfill her life. Her family was her everything. She was a Christian and attended Life Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Grady Kirk; mother, Mary Kirk; sister, Wanda Potter; husband, Jesse Jones; and daughter, Christy (Jones) Rubes.

Margaret is survived by her sister, Donna Skoch of Yukon; daughter, Sherry Jones Nowack of Owasso; sons-in-law, John Nowack of Owasso and Jim Rubes of Yukon, and grandchildren, Kayla and Jesse Nowack, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Yanda and Son Funeral Home in Yukon, OK. A Celebration of life will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon, OK, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
