Margie Arlene Henderson

Margie Arlene Henderson, 88, met her savior and her sweetheart at the pearly gates on Monday, June 22, 2026.

She was born in Newalla, OK on June 16, 1938, to Charles Craddock & Hattie Williams. She grew up in a small modest 2-bedroom house with 4 brothers and 1 sister. The family eventually moved to Oklahoma City where Margie attended several schools culminating with graduation in 1956 from U.S. Grant High School.

Following high school, Margie went to work for Downtown Chevrolet in the general office where she was eventually promoted to the switchboard as an operator. It was during her time there that she was introduced to a handsome younger man named Gary Henderson. In January of 1959, the two eloped to Miami, Oklahoma where they were married by the Justice of the Peace. They began their marital blissfulness in a garage apartment, living off of love and tomato soup. They began their family later that year with the birth of their first child, daughter Kathy. Two years later, they welcomed their son, Chris, in 1961.

Gary accepted a hospital administration job in Pawnee Oklahoma in 1965. While in Pawnee, Margie began a career in the insurance industry and continued that career when they moved to Drumright in the summer of 1974. After their children graduated from high school, Margie developed a passion for helping and loving the elderly. She was very active in the Methodist Church there and regularly visited residents of the nursing home where her father, Crat, was being cared for. That passion and ministry to the elderly continued when they moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1989, when Gary accepted the General Manager position at Stillwater Designs. She continued to share the love of Christ through ministry in the Stillwater community through January of 2010, when Gary retired from Stillwater Designs.

Retirement prompted a move to Yukon to be near their children and grandchildren. Family was everything to her. There was no bigger fan in the stands than MiMi Margie. She and Gary rarely missed a grandchild’s game. She had a knack for making her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren feel like the most important person in the world. Her ability to encourage, make much of, and spoil is a lost art to most. She was such an example of pure love in every way. As she aged, her faith erupted and she made it her mission in life to share the good news of Jesus Christ with every person who came across her path.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy Hazelbaker and her husband Lynn of Yukon, her son Chris Henderson of Yukon, 4 grandchildren, grandson Cody Henderson & wife Britney; granddaughter Whitney Hazelbaker, grandson Jacob Henderson & wife Brooke, grandson Zachary Hazelbaker & wife Bailey; step-grandson Bryce Craig; 7 great grandchildren; Brielle, Hayden, Charlie, Harper, Gideon, Josie, Wilder, & countless other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, CC & Hattie Williams, brothers Owen Williams, William Lee Williams, Dean Williams, Jim Williams, and sister Betty Brown, and the love of her life, husband Gary Henderson.

Viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2026 at the funeral home.

Margie’s celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 30, at Together We Church, 620 N. Cemetery Rd., Yukon, OK 73099. It was her desire that this celebration of life be a joyful occasion. Her final wishes were that those in attendance would not wear black or be weepy.
