Marjorie Sue Morton

Marjorie (Marge) S. Morton passed away on December 28, 2024, at the age of 90. Marge grew up in Warren, OK. Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, after nearly 73 years of marriage. She is survived by Jim H. Morton (son), Becky Little (daughter), and Patti Gutierrez (daughter) and her husband, Reuben Gutierrez.

Marge is also survived by grandson Jim Gutierrez, wife Jennifer, and their daughter Laney; grandson Jake Morton, wife Katie, and their children Max, Connor, Lucy, and Henry; granddaughter Alicia Little Emsley and partner Clint; grandson David Little, wife Amy, and their children Ava, Jackson, and Colette; granddaughter LoriAnn Gutierrez Klein, husband Michael, and son Colton. She is also survived by brother-in-law Don Morton, brother Ron Willingham, and wife Sherry. Marge will also be missed by so many nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

Marge began college in 1951 at OSU. Marriage and three children delayed the completion of her college education until she lived in Maryland and attended the University of Maryland. Marge used her education degree for many years. During those years, Marge found her passion traveling with Jim during his military career in the Air Force. They spent their military years in Oklahoma, Germany, Washington, D.C., Norfolk, Virginia, Tokyo, Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, Montana, Ankara, Turkey, and Offutt AFB, Omaha, Nebraska, where active military life ended. Civilian life began in Sacramento, California, then on to Denver, Colorado, before settling back into Oklahoma. Yukon became home.

In addition to teaching, Marge enjoyed many opportunities to serve the Lord. She was instrumental in creating the Littleton Church of Christ Food Bank, working with Colorado Children's Homes, Clothing Rooms, providing a home for a pregnant teen, and being active in just about every ministry in church life. Bringing many to the Lord was her goal. Life also included the love of animals—always a home for a dog and sometimes cats.

Marge was greatly admired by those who knew her, worked with her, and loved her. She lived her life as a fine Christian example.

Marge's burial will be at Ft. Sill National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2025.

The Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the South Yukon Church of Christ, 11700 NW 10th, Yukon, OK 73099.
