Marsha Rea Fisher

"Marsha Rea Fisher was born 2/19/1945 in Shawnee, OK, to James E. and Helen J. (Madding) Fisher and went into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday evening, June 7, 2025 in Oklahoma City.

Marsha graduated high school in 1963 and made longtime friendships there.  She enjoyed having peers over for get- togethers and being an alternate on the cheerleading squad. Marsha worked as a cosmetologist, then decided to finish her degree in Fine Arts at the University of Oklahoma, and subsequently took a job as a graphic artist, before returning to the beauty business.  She created and modeled coifs for hair and fashion shows, and was an in-demand hairstylist.

Marsha's artistry and style showed in her choice of fabrics, furnishings, decorative art, designing quilts, gardening, landscaping, and meals.  She prepared scrumptious food, served at a beautiful table, but never lost her love for a good "hamburger and coke." She looked forward to times together with family and friends, playing Mahjong, going out to eat, and watching the Daystar television broadcast of scripture, music, and nature.

Marsha's generosity became legendary when she decided to stop driving and gave her car to a surprised, but very delighted tow-truck driver. Family and friends give thanks that Marsha is at peace now.  She will truly be missed.

Marsha is survived by a sister, Cynthia Flowers; niece Joley, nephews, Justin (Jen) and Jordan (Amy); great nieces and nephews, Jonah, Jimi, Hudson and Vera; aunt, Bettie Cluck; cousin Phyllis Ply (Wilburn); and many 2nd cousins. A special Thank You goes out to Marsha's friends and her communities, Superbia and Saddlebrook, for helping on her journey with attentiveness and humor.

A service of celebration giving thanks for Marsha's life is Thursday, June 26, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon, at 2 pm."
