Mary Louise Carrico

Mary Louise Carrico, age 71, passed away on October 20, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on September 28th, 1952 to Sylvester and Faye (Votapka) Meitl in Oberlin, Kansas.

Mary Lou was raised on the family farm in Dresden, Kansas and graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1970. She spent her professional life serving others in positions such as Dental Assistant, Accounts Payable Specialist, and her most recent role as a Social Services Support Specialist. Although, her most favorable experience was being a Nanny in Italy. Mary Lou was a member of the Any Day Girls bible study group and was proud to be a certified Master Gardener through Oklahoma State University for several years. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, interior design and home decorating. She enjoyed antique shopping, watching murder mysteries and British TV, but most of all spending her time with family and friends.

She is survived by her children: daughter Alexis (and her husband, Michael) Graham, son Caleb Carrico, bonus children: Jamie (and wife Abigail) Glenn, Josh (and wife Johanna) Carrico, Jon (and wife Nikki) Carrico, Austin Carrico, Mara (and husband Rohan) Adur and many grandchildren.  Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents Sylvester and Faye Meitl, her sister Susan Meitl, her husband Jimmy Carrico, and one grandson.

A Celebration of Life Brunch for family and friends will be held in her honor on Saturday, October 28th at 9:30am at the Town and Country Church (2200 Cornwell Dr.) in Yukon, Oklahoma. Wear your brightest colors and bring your favorite stories and memories to share
