Mary Louise Cox

Mary Louise Sutterfield Cox, age 71, was born in Oklahoma City on October 26, 1952, to the late Alfred and Evelyn Sutterfield. She passed away at The Grand at Bethany on February 3, 2024, in hospice care for renal failure.

She married the late Van Seigrist in 1971 in Missouri, and they raised their children in Arkansas before relocating to Ellington, Missouri. Mary never met a stranger and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed doing crafts and painting pottery. She loved catching up on the phone with her siblings while trying to keep up with the family.

Mary is survived by her two children Van Seigrist, Jr. of Yukon, OK and Gordon Seigrist of Viburnum, MO, seven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. She was a loved sister to all her siblings. Mary was predeceded in death by her former husband Van Seigrist in 2013, her daughter Vannessa Maize in 2010, and daughter Eva Seigrist in 2020.

Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Salem, MO, on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the Corridon-Reynolds Cemetery near Ellington, MO.
