Mary D. Sestak

Mary D. Sestak, born on August 2, 1941, was a beloved daughter, and eventual sister, wife, mother, and Mimi. Mary was dedicated to her work, spending 28 years as an employee and eventual supervisor at Western Electric, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies. Her hobbies included sewing, reading, and preparing Sunday dinners for her family. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their various activities.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Doughty; mother, Bernice Doughty; sister, Sharon Liles; infant son, James Keith Tosh; and daughter, DeEdra Garrity.

Mary is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charlie Sestak of Yukon, OK; her daughter, Melissa Gathers and husband Earl of Yukon; her son, David Tosh and wife Kelly of Tuttle, OK; and her son, Michael Sestak of Yukon. She leaves behind grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Colby and Layne Gathers, Amber and Hunter Haslip, Makinzey and Wade Thomas, and Tyler Tosh. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Hadley Haslip, Boone Gathers, and Nash Thomas. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Jim Doughty of Fritch, Texas; niece Kim Craig; and nephews Danny and Eddie Daniels, and Jason Doughty.

Mary will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
