Mary Frances Wilcher

Mary Frances (Partain) Wilcher was born February 10, 1946 to Raymond L and Gladys Partain in Edmond, OK.  She went to be with her Lord and Savior February 19, 2026 in Broken Arrow, OK at the age of 80.

The Partain family moved to Yukon, OK when Mary was 3 years old.  Her father Raymond owned Partain's Texaco on Main Street.  She was the youngest of three girls, she loved being the baby of the family.  She was proud to be a Daddy's girl.  She attended Grade School and High School in Yukon graduating in the class of 1964.

She loved being from Yukon and her classmates and friends. Her favorite activities were shopping, especially with her best friend Joy and having coffee and visiting with friends at the drug store.  She will be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humor and fun loving nature.

She was a talented pianist and had a beautiful voice.  She played and sang often.  She led the Children's Choir when her children were young and later was Choir Director at the First Christian Church.  Our favorite memory of her is singing "Sweet Little Jesus Boy" at the Christmas Eve Service for many years.

She married Lowell Wells in 1964, together they had 3 children, Julie, Christi and Bryan.

She married Harold Wilcher in 1986.  They enjoyed 25 years of marriage until his death in 2011.  After Harold died she moved to Midlothian, TX to be with her sister, Linda and husband William.  In 2014 she moved to Bixby, OK  to be near her daughter Julie, and husband James.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joan Bowlware and brother in law, Arlie Bowlware; husband, Harold Wilcher; nephews, Stanley Bowlware, David Hamilton and special friend Gloria Lurry.

Mary is survived by her sister, Linda (William) Hamilton; her three children, Julie (James) Meeks, Christi Kinder, and Bryan (Amy) Wells;  8 grandchildren: Ashley (Clint) Martin, Alyssa (Isaac) Ward, Brandon Kinder, Hailey (Michael) Ivey, Carly (Dylan) Frizzell, Blake (Hailey) Meeks, Kenedy Wells and Camryn Wells; 11 great grandchildren:  Brayden Lassiter, Madeline Martin, Brylee Ward, Baylee Ward, Emma Martin, Braxton Hixon, Cash Kinder, Holly Ivey, Bennett Frizzell, Ginny Ivey and Leon Meeks.  Niece, Teresa (Troy) Ott and nephew, Scott Hamilton; and her best friend, Joy (Danny) Rose.

Viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at First Christian Church in Yukon, OK, with interment following at Yukon Cemetery.
