Matthew "Matt" Edward Wood

Matthew Edward "Matt" Wood, age 60, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 23, 2022 in Yukon, OK. He was born on December 5, 1961 in El Reno, OK.

Raised in Yukon, OK, he attended Yukon Public Schools, where he was an accomplished baseball player, and once pitched a no-hitter.  He was also an avid bowler and loved fishing.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his mom, Edye Zan McClure; dad, James Wood and wife Vona; daughter, Crystal Willingham and husband Patrick; son, Trey Wood and wife Ashley; daughter, Britney Wood; brother, Todd Wood and Martha Williams; sister, Jaime Franklin and husband Scott; niece, Hannah, and 7 grandchildren that he absolutely adored. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
