Maurine Hillman

Francis "Maurine" (Bryant) Hillman entered Heaven's Gates on May 24, 2023, in Oklahoma City surrounded by family at the age of 84. Maurine was born May 26, 1938 in Paris, Texas to parents John and Hopie Bryant. She had 5 siblings June, Johnny, Mary, Jean and Wayne.  Maurine met the love of her life Gerald Dean Hillman in January 1956 at a Drive-in, while cruising Broadway in Oklahoma City.  It was love at first sight and the two married July 7, 1956, in Oklahoma City. They eventually settled in Yukon in 1959 and built a successful business together. They worked together in downtown Yukon, at Hillman's Taxidermy for 48 years, until they decided it was finally time to retire in 2021.

Maurine and Gerald shared 66 wonderful years together filled with travel, fishing and lots of laughter. From the countless nights at the Moose Lodge shared with friends dancing, to go kart racing, cruises and endless road trips, they experienced life to the fullest together.

They were blessed with two daughters, Starlette and Jeannine; 5 grandchildren, Maria, Solana, Laura, Karina, Jacob, and 8 great grandchildren, Sadie, Khloee, Serenity, Jaidin, Maria, Parker, Mia, and Jimmy.

Maurine loved attending get togethers and holiday dinners where she would often bring her famous Pistachio pudding and enjoyed time spent with family. She enjoyed watching Thunder Basketball and Crime dramas.

Maurine's life will be celebrated on her 85th birthday, Friday May 26th at 11am at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel, 1500 W. Vandament Avenue, Yukon Oklahoma, with burial to follow at the Yukon Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Billy Moutaw.
