Max Joseph Kolar

Max Joseph Kolar was born December 12, 1927, in Banner, OK.  He was the second oldest of five children born to Anton and Esther Kolar and grew up on the family farm.  Max graduated from Yukon High School and enjoyed a long career as a sheet metal worker.  He met Elizabeth Zaloudik at the Yukon Czech Hall, married on August 31, 1954, held their wedding reception there and continued to enjoy every Saturday night at the Czech Hall!  Max and Elizabeth were long time parish members at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where they remained active through their retirement years.

Max is preceded in death by his parents, wife Elizabeth; daughter, Kathy Kolar Lewis; son-in-law, Tim Fitzpatrick, and siblings, Barbara Yanda and Florence Straka.

He is survived by siblings, Stanley Kolar (Lillian), and Patsy McDaniel; daughters, Sharon Fitzpatrick and Susan Fetz (Gary); grandchildren, Carolyn Lopez (Ricardo), Patrick Fetz (Carley), and Allison Palazola (Peter), and two great-grandsons, Cayden and Rylan Lopez, along with many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Oklahoma City, OK.

Visitation and viewing will be held at 9:15 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2022, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1901 N.W. 18 ^th St., Oklahoma City, OK, with interment at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
