Michael Delbert Murray

Michael Murray died Thursday, July 25, 2024, at his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Mike was born in 1950 in Oklahoma City to Orin and Mady Lee Murray. He loved being outdoors camping, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family – especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved being a pastor. During a revival in 1980 he surrendered to the call to preach. After graduating from Nazarene Bible College, he pastored for 34 years at Lovington, New Mexico; Tulsa Southwest; Vici and Lawton Heights Nazarene churches.

He is survived by his wife, Susanne, his two children, Robert and Cherry and their spouses, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, along with two siblings, and countless family and friends.

His battle with medical challenges over the past eight years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and a joke. Despite the pain, Mike came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

A memorial service will be held, Monday, July 29 at 1 p.m. at Yukon First Church of the Nazarene, 525 E. Main in Yukon.
