Nick Thomas Smith

Nick Thomas Smith, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in Chandler, Oklahoma. He was born on February 8, 1974, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Nick graduated from UCO with a degree in Marketing and went on to work in retail management for many years with Party Galaxy, Check Into Cash, and CD Warehouse. He was a devoted caregiver to his mother and stepbrother and loved his family deeply.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clifford and Vada (Echols) Smith; his maternal grandparents, Danny and Glenda Johnstone; his stepfather, Don VanCuren; and his uncle, Gary VanCuren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Murl Smith and his wife, Linda; his mother, Pam VanCuren; as well as numerous cousins, stepbrothers, aunts, uncles, and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers , please make donations to the First Christian Church of Yukon, 601 Maple Ave, Yukon, OK 73099.
