Norma Jean Craig

Norma Jean (Vrana) Craig, 94, died in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on Thursday, December 5, 2024. She was the oldest daughter of Peter and Jewel Vrana, born September 1, 1930 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated high school in Midwest City, went to work for Prestolite Battery Company as an office assistant. While working at Prestolite, she met her future husband, Floyd Craig, and they were married March 1, 1950. Shortly after the wedding, Floyd served in the army while Norma worked at Prestolite until he came home. During their 64 year marriage, Norma and Floyd were blessed with three children, five grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents and grantparents, her husband Floyd, sister Dorothy and niece Cheryl, her daughter Vicki Lynn Craig Deskin and son-in-law Danny Deskin. Norma is survived by daugther Cathy Leah Craig Colvin; her son Mark Allen Craig; granddaughters Amber Dawn Deskin, Alaina Elizabeth Colvin Ring, Shelley Marie Thompson, and Kelsey Gene Colvin Broome; grandson Brian Rogers and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was a attentive listener, dear friend, great mother, and an incredibly talented and gifted lady. Her remains will be laid to rest beside her husband. Memorial Services will be private.
