Patricia Ann James

Patricia Ann James (Patty, P.J), of Yukon, OK, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, of natural causes.  She was born in December 9, 1957 in Oklahoma City to Arthur and Rae Eades.

Patty married Preston James on August 25, 1979.  After the two were married, they settled in NW Oklahoma City to raise their daughter, Brandi.  In 1987, they moved to Yukon.

Patty worked at Rick's Donut shop as a teenager.  She then went on to work at Leonhardt Lumber, Cowboy Cleaners and Wal-Mart, where she was still employed.  This August she would have been there for 32 years.  She enjoyed working and socializing with all of her regular customers.

Patty loved spending time with her family and friends most of all.  She knew no stranger, and would do whatever she could to help someone in need.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting and other crafts, and cooking.  She made the very best cinnamon rolls, Indian tacos and salsa.

She is survived by her daughter, Brandi (Preston); grandsons, Jesse and Anthony Potter; brothers, Glen (Debbie) Eades, Tommy (Carol) Eades and sister, Brenda (Danny) Coonce.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and numerous dear and loving friends who will miss her dearly.  She was proceeded in death by her parents Arthur and Rae Eades; husband Preston James; brother Curtis Eades and parents-in-law Floyd and Juanita James.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2024 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, OK.
