Paul Edward Campbell

Paul Edward Campbell went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2024. He is survived by his wife Helen Campbell; son Stephen Campbell and his wife Jeffri-Lynn; daughter's Kellye Graham and Dia Detrixhe, her husband CW; his brother Leroy Campbell and sister Lida; stepdaughter Shelly and husband Michael Beach; and stepson Travis and wife Tiffany Hildebrand; He helped raise nephew Thomas, and nieces Kristy and Joy!  Their spouses include Emily Grossnicklaus, Zach Schneberger, and Daniel Isbell, respectively. More nieces and nephews too numerous for publication! Many, many grandchildren including Taylor Graham, Lucas Campbell, Jacob Campbell, Jovah Detrixhe, along with more great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and loved ones.

Paul lost his dearest Dolores Johnston Campbell on February 12th, 2011. They met as Teenagers in Yukon High School where they graduated Yukon Millers!  They were married for 53 years and were parents of three living children who reside in Florida, Colorado, and Oklahoma. Paul and Helen were and are residents of Mustang, OK. They previously resided in Yukon, and Calumet, Oklahoma. Paul grew up on a small farm with a large family near Wichita Kansas. His parents were Lloyd and Diana. Paul had 5 siblings - Leroy, Elliot, Anita, Irene and Lida. Paul was practical and intelligent. He was everything you would want from a friend, a husband, Scout Leader, Soccer coach, and a soldier. Paul was slow to anger and very kind, quiet, and patient, to a point! This is a good thing for many because he wasn't called "Tall Paul" for nothing. He could roll you up like a piece of foil! Like many of us, Paul had his opinions. He was convinced there is only one University anyone should consider attending. That is OSU! Paul was a registered Democrat!!

Paul served in the Korean war from 1958 – 61. He was honorably discharged on April 7, 1961. He began his working career on the Ball dairy farm milking cows before and after school until graduation. After tying the knot with Dolores, Paul and his wife moved to Georgia to complete his service. They then made their home in Yukon, OK. Paul managed to get on at Western Electric and later employed at Xerox. He wore many different hats and endured training periodically in Rochester, NY. He worked as a commercial printer/copier expert as well as an Information Technology Systems Expert.

Paul also was an opportunist and had the cleaning contracts for Meyers Elementary School, Shedeck, and Parkland Elementary. Takes money to put all those kids through school! Paul and Helen were co-workers and friends at Xerox. Upon the passing of his wife, Paul married Helen Hildebrand who was born in Hinton and went to school in Oklahoma City. They enjoyed raising cows in Calumet and the country life. Paul loved his dog Roxy and cat Max who went everywhere with him. After retirement, they moved to Mustang. Paul was never an idle man, so he started working at H&R Block to keep his mind sharp. After several years, he retired again for the third time!

His lap dog, Izzy, was always by his side looking for a treat or walking out to get the mail with him. Izzy is still looking for him!

Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2024, and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 3, at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
