Pauline Birdie O'Neal

In loving memory of Pauline B. O'Neal, a beloved 88-year-old mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother passed away on December 6, 2023 surrounded by family and -friends. She departed this world after severe fall, leaving behind a legacy of love.

She was born on December 26, 1934 in Okarche, Oklahoma, the daughter of Elsie and Alfred Higgins. From a young age, she exhibited a zest for life and a curiosity that would shape her remarkable journey. She completed her education at Okarche High School.

Pauline was a pillar of strength and support for her family and friends. She was a loving parent and her kindness extended to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a wide range of interests that enriched her life. She enjoyed family, traveling, sewing, crafts, gardening, cooking, helping others and brought joy and inspiration to those around her. Her laughter was infectious, and her warmth created a sense of belonging for everyone fortunate enough to be in her presence.

In times of joy and sorrow, Pauline was a source of unwavering support, and her capacity for empathy and understanding made her a confidant and friend to many. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were touched by her grace and love.

Pauline is survived by her daughters, Brenda Woodward, Peggy Earle, Paula Cline, Sherri Segler, and Dee Gibson-Poe; brother, Paul Higgins; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of kindness and generosity. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Peter O'Neal of 62 years, nine siblings, and two grandsons, Duane Gibson and Jeffery Poe.

The loss of Pauline leaves a void that cannot be filled, but the memories shared will serve as a lasting tribute to a life well lived.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at First Baptist Church Mustang, 928 North Mustang, Rd., Mustang, OK.
