Phillip Allan Toney

Phillip Allan Toney, 63, son of Walter and Dorothy Toney of Yukon, Oklahoma passed away on July 29, 2025, after a short illness.

Phillip was born on July 19, 1962, in Oklahoma City. He attended Pleasant Hill Elementary School and graduated from Del City High School. He began his culinary career while still in high school, training under the executive chef at Applewoods and later at the Velvet Dove, a fine dining restaurant in Oklahoma City. He went on to manage restaurants in Oklahoma City, Round Rock, and Austin, Texas, and was blessed to own and operate LightHouse Catering, where his mission was to provide "Meals to Brighten Your Day."

A Born Again Christian, Phillip used his cooking gifts and talents to serve his church, his community, his customers, and especially his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, as well as several aunts and uncles.

Phillip is survived by his parents, Walter and Dorothy Toney of Yukon; his brother Glenn and wife Gail of Spring, Texas; and his sister Lynda Toney-Bahr of Bethany, Oklahoma. He will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

He will be memorialized and laid to rest in the family plot at Plainview Cemetery near Hydro, Oklahoma, in May 2026.

Phillip's life will be honored at a Memorial Ceremony in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at City Reach Church, 3502 Hatch Rd., Cedar Park, Texas.
