Phy Thavisak

On Monday, April 7, 2025, Mrs. Phy Thavisack passed away peacefully at her home from natural causes, surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Phy Thavisack was born on March 02, 1934, in Laos. She was the daughter of Mr. Douangdee and Mrs. Thy Mountryvong. Mrs. Thavisak grew up with ten siblings, three girls and seven boys. All of her siblings currently reside in Canada. In 1957, she married Mr. Thy Thavisack. Together, they raised three sons and five daughters; Mrs. Vongphet, Mrs. Manivanh, Mr. Boonthone, Mr. Thouy, Mr. Thep, Mrs. Noy, Ms. Khamla and Mrs. Kham. Phy has twelve grandchildren in America, five grandchildren in Laos, 10 fourth generation grandchildren, and 2 fifth generation grandchildren.

In 1983, she escaped Laos and became a refugee at Napho Refugee Camp in Thailand and the Phillipines. Phy stayed in those refugee camps for almost a year all together. In 1984, she migrated from Thailand to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As for her working life, Mrs. Phy worked for manufacturing company Ted Davis From 1984 to 1998 before retiring for good in 1999. Mrs. Thavisak lived the rest of her life in Oklahoma City.

Viewing will be held on Friday, April 17, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Yanda and Son Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
