Ralph Wesley Corr, Jr.

Ralph Wesley Corr, Jr., known to many as Jr., age 75, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, in Yukon, OK. Jr. graduated from Yukon High School in 1967 where he played football and received a scholarship to Panhandle State. He served in the Air Force Reserves for 6 years and was a member of the American Legion until 2023. He worked for the Yukon Fire Department for 25 years, retiring in 1997, following in his dad's footsteps as a firefighter. He loved his job there and loved helping others in crisis situations. He even mentioned the pride he took in helping to deliver a couple of babies during his service to the Yukon community. At that time, Yukon was dependent upon emergency ambulance service from Oklahoma City, so the firefighters were instrumental in providing a variety of emergency services to those in need while the ambulance was en route. Jr. was a jack of many trades and had his own roofing business for over 30 years. He was an avid OU sports fan and loved his Sooners! Growing up Jr. was very athletic and excelled at baseball and football.  As an adult he enjoyed golfing with friends.  He also loved hunting and had greyhounds for many years. Jr. was an exceptional father, grandfather, brother and friend that would give anything to take care of the ones he loved and cared for. He worked diligently to provide for his family, whom he loved unconditionally and was always helping them whether they needed it or not! Jr. had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his dog, Brownie. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Kimery Corr; father, Ralph Corr Sr., and brother, Paul Corr. Jr. is survived by his daughter, Teshia Corr-Miller; son, Chad Corr; six grandchildren, Christopher, Alex and Austin Miller, and Cameron, Colton and Caiyah Corr.; two sisters, Althea Brown, her partner James Clark and Angela Corr; three brothers, David Corr and wife Sonya, Timothy Corr, and John Corr and wife Shelley, as well as many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Jr's. close friend, and John's care assistant Kathy Morris.  Kathy was a blessing over the past year helping with the care of Jr. and making him comfortable on a daily basis. The Corr Family is very appreciative for all the help Kathy selflessly provided. Celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, OK.
