Ricky Dewayne Sanders

Ricky "Rick" Dewayne Sanders, an amazing son, brother, HUSBAND, DAD, GRANDPA, uncle and friend passed from this life on Friday, April 19th, 2024 at his home in Piedmont, OK surrounded by family and friends. Rick was born in Chickasha, OK on June 20th, 1959 to Cecil and Eva. He grew up and graduated from Yukon High School in 1978, spending most of his time racing dirt bikes and doing paint and body.

On April 4th, 1981 he married Pamela Edmonds and moved to Piedmont, OK where he spent the last forty-three years of his life. He worked for Mark's Paint and Body, Gulfstream Aerospace for seventeen years, and in November 2002, he started at Nortec Solutions in Okarche, OK.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Cecil Sanders, and mom, Eva Daniels. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Sanders; sons, Rory Sanders and wife Mackinzey, Rily Sanders and Heather, and Rayce Sanders and wife Allie; grandkids, Cason, Kinley, and Stella; brother, Randy and wife Theresa, and sister, Cecilia and husband, Keith, as well as many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Rick was an avid motocross racer. We felt like it was honorary to bury him in his motocross jersey, "19" being that it was a family racing number and the day the Lord waved him in with the checkered flag.

Viewing will be held 9:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Yukon, with interment at 2:00 p.m., at Mathewson Cemetery, Piedmont, OK.
