Robert Michael Wedman

Robert Michael Wedman went to be with our Lord on January 5, 2025. He was born on October 5, 1957, to William Francis and Louise Ella (Brueggen) Wedman. Robert was the youngest of twelve children.

After attending Oklahoma State University, Robert returned to Yukon, Oklahoma, where, for nearly fifty years, he managed a cattle operation at his family's centennial farm. In 1980, Robert married his beloved wife, Cathy. Together, they had two sons, Matthew and Richard, and five grandchildren: Brooks (8), Luke (7), Anna (5), Wrenley (3), and Caleb (2).

Robert was a proud cattle rancher and a devoted family man who cherished the simple things in life. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, John Wedman, William Wedman, Laurence Wedman, Bernard Wedman, Ronald Wedman, and Donald Wedman; and his sisters, Rosemary (Wedman) Reynolds, Margaret (Wedman) Bellinghausen, and Lynda (Wedman) Ronck.

He is survived by his wife, sons, daughters-in-law Nicole and Emilie, grandchildren, sisters Anita Gifford and Diana McIntyre, and numerous nieces and nephews from both the Wedman and Seikel families. Robert will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Thursday, January 9, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, 1500 W Vandament Ave, Yukon, OK. Vigil and rosary services will take place on Thursday, January 9, at 6:00 PM at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, with the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 10, at 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
