Rodney Doyle "Rod" Berger

Rodney Doyle "Rod" Berger, 89, of Yukon, passed away on September 24, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on August 17, 1936, in Canton, Oklahoma, to Sam Berger and Lenora Knoop Berger.

Shortly after graduating from high school, Rod joined the U.S. Coast Guard. He later became the manager of Hahn Trucking in Oklahoma City.

In 1972, he met Meldine Howell, and the two were married on August 11, 1973. Rodney and Meldine loved raising and showing bulldogs. Together they raised and showed 50 champions.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Devin Scott Dahlke; brother, Clarence Reynolds and wife Suzy; sister, Wynema "Shorty" Haigler and husband Doyle; and nephews, Larry "Butch" Haigler and Gary Lee Haigler.

Rod is survived by his wife of 52 years Meldine of the home; stepdaughter Lorre Hill of Crescent, OK; nieces and nephews, Chris Knoop, Linda Gentry and husband Park, Sharon Duke and husband Greg, Harriett Friesen and husband James

A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene in Bethany, Oklahoma.
