Ronald Dean Mckinney

Ronald Dean McKinney, age 78, was born on November 13, 1946, in Oklahoma City, OK, to the late Thomas and Helen McKinney. He passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK.

A 1964 graduate of Yukon High School, Ronald went on to serve his country in the United States Army. He then enjoyed a long and successful career with AT&T, where he eventually retired.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Velma McKinney; his sister, Diana Peters; his brother-in-law, Omar Peters; his brother-in-law, Joe Phipps; and his niece, Jamie Bowie.

He is survived by his son, Steven McKinney and wife Keri; his daughter, Melissa Utley; his brothers, Paul McKinney and Mike McKinney and wife Gaye; his sister, Cindy Phipps; as well as many nephews, nieces, other family members, and numerous friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon, Oklahoma.
