Rudy Peach

Nelson Rudy Peach of Mutual, Oklahoma passed away on February 4, 2024. Rudy, as he was known to friends and family, was born to Nelson and Corrinne Peach on January 21, 1944 in Woodward, Oklahoma. There were blizzard conditions that day and his father had to transport his expectant mother to the hospital in a school bus. That eventful entry into the world would set up the way he lived his life - he did it his way.

Most of his life was spent as a teacher and coach, beloved by many. During his coaching career, his girls basketball teams won 6 District Championships and 4 Regional Championships. One of his greatest accomplishments was when his girls basketball team at Sentinel, Oklahoma won the 1973 State Basketball Championship. In 1974 he was named All State Coach.

He cultivated many friendships over the years and genuinely loved being around people, swapping stories and laughing until the wee hours of the morning. One of his greatest joys was quail hunting.

Rudy is preceded in death by his father - Nelson Peach, his mother - Corrinne Peach, his brother - Eddy Peach, and his wife - Libby Peach.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristi Moss and her son James Carson Reeves, his daughter Kelli Thomas and her son Brad Thomas and his wife, Maddy and their two daughters, Emberly and Ariel, and her daughter Caroline Franklin and her husband Justin.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 9 at the Mooreland Community Center located at 105 SE 5th St, Mooreland, OK.
