Russell Garfield Lee

Russell Garfield Lee, 64, of Yukon Oklahoma passed away March 9, 2023 in Oklahoma City, OK. Russell was born to Warren Lee and Ruth (Dargel) Lee on June 12, 1958 in Oklahoma City, OK.

Russell graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1976. He attended Oklahoma State University where he earned his Associate Degree in Applied Science in Electrical Engineering and then attended the University of Central Oklahoma, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Computer Science and a Minor in Technology Education.

In 1979 Russell began his career at Magnetic Peripherals Inc. which later became Control Data then Imprimis and finally Seagate Technology. He progressed through several different departments on his path to IT. His love for IT began with Networking, moving to Computer Operations and Softwear Management. In 2019, after 40 years, he retired as Sr. Director of IT Corporate Infrastructure. He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Russell's passion was being outdoors. He would spend time on his land camping, hunting, fishing and sitting by the campfire. He looked forward to the Annual trip to Hot Springs for the Arkansas Derby with family and friends. Some hobbies that he enjoyed were trap shooting, playing darts and shooting pool.

Russell is survived by his wife, Gaye Lee of Yukon, OK: sons, Anthony Lee and wife Alye of Yukon OK, Matthew Lee of Atlanta, GA, and Jonathan Lee of Yukon, OK; brother, Ron Lee and wife Debbie of Edmond, OK; granddaughters, Kaelynn and Cameron King of Fort Smith, AR, and Emma and Everly Lee of Yukon, OK, as well as numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Ruth Lee and brother, Roger Lee.

Celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2023 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 1500 W. Vandament Ave., Yukon, OK, with pastor Clinton McMullin officiating.
